Oceana Mackenzie started climbing at the age of 8. She is Australia's top-ranked sport climber across both disciplines – lead and bouldering – and was the first female to represent Australia in sport climbing's debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
At twenty-three, Oceana has already broken multiple Australian climbing records, being the first Australian to win a bouldering World Climbing Series, a 2x Olympian, making finals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the best Australian results at the World Championships, best overall Australian result in bouldering and lead for 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Oceana has had a great season so far in 2026, making every finals in bouldering and lead. Oceana also had an exceptional performance at the Olympics in Paris, making finals finishing in 7th place.
Oceana is a vEGGan athlete. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, colouring in and spending time with family.
